Guidebook author Sarah Carpin is a British journalist who fell in love with Seychelles, and from the photos in the guidebook, that seems easy to do. This Seychelles islands guidebook is packed with over 205 brilliant color photographs that capture the beauty of these tiny islands. People who may not have heard of Mahe or the other Seychelles islands would want to immediately plan a visit based on the photos alone. Carpin, however, does justice to the island through her descriptions in the guide. Readers who cannot make the trip to Seychelles will find it comforting to sit back and read the guidebook on any lazy afternoon. The book is an easy read, written in a matter-of-fact tone, and the history, island life, and sights of Sechelles are great reading topics. It is like reading about a fantasy world under the sun, a sort of Fantasy Island, that actually exists.
