On a mission to the Seychelles islands find some of the most beautiful and remote beaches in the world? This guidebook helps tourists plan trips to these African islands.

Seychelles, Garden of Eden in the Indian Ocean by Sarah Carpin describes the 115 Seychelles Islands off the coast of Africa in such lush, colorful, detail that most people would want to leave their 9 to 5 behind and move there. Guidebook author Sarah Carpin is a British journalist who fell in love with Seychelles, and from the photos in the guidebook, that seems easy to do. The 328-page book describes the best beaches, diving, and mountain walks. People who are looking for a honeymoon in paradise can use the honeymoon holiday guide in the guidebook.

Summary of the Seychelles Island Guidebook

This Seychelles islands guidebook is packed with over 205 brilliant color photographs that capture the beauty of these tiny islands. People who may not have heard of Mahe or the other Seychelles islands would want to immediately plan a visit based on the photos alone. Carpin, however, does justice to the island through her descriptions in the guide. Readers who cannot make the trip to Seychelles will find it comforting to sit back and read the guidebook on any lazy afternoon. The book is an easy read, written in a matter-of-fact tone, and the history, island life, and sights of Sechelles are great reading topics. It is like reading about a fantasy world under the sun, a sort of Fantasy Island, that actually exists.

Getting Around Sechelles

In addition to the history of Seychelles and some original literature, the guidebook includes the usual information on accommodations, flight information, money, communication, and travel throughout the islands. Carpin gives honest advice in the guidebook in a friendly tone. For example, she warns tourists that it is expensive, but worth it to rent a car, because it too hot to tour the islands by foot. She advises that the cost for flights to the Seychelles Islands are expensive to some traveler. Flights are expensive to reduce the tourism and protect the environment, Carpin notes. There are no flights from the United States to Seychelles. Flights depart from the U.K., France, Dubai, Singapore, Mauritius and South Africa, Carpin wrote.

Islands in the Middle of Nowhere

Tourists who are fortunate to make it to the Seychelles are directed to visit Mahe, with its 60 beaches, nicer restaurants shops and facilities. Although Seychelles may be a perfect destination for tourists, the islands are considered remote and are uncrowded. The cost for flights to these African islands may be expensive to some travelers, Carpin notes, but based on Carpin's overview, a visit to the Seychelles Islands may be worth the money. Memories of a visit to paradise will undoubtedly be priceless.
